I created my first Air app using Flex 3 builder, did the package export, installed it fine on Windows Vista, and ran it.
But the app did not open up in a window! If I use task manager, I see it running however. But it won't appear in the app bar on the bottom of the screen, and there is no window running for it. When I run this app from Flex3 directly, it works fine of course.
I've tried uninstalling AIR, my app, rebooting, reinstalling, and same results. I've done this on a Windows7 box, and I've also done this on an XP box (which fails completely saying the AIR file is damaged).
Any ideas? Thanks!
I've narrowed my problem down by chopping pieces of code until it works, and I think I have it narrowed down to the code that uses FlexGraphing but need to check a bit more...
It's odd that it works in Flex3 builder though, and there are no errors when I run in as AIR. In fact, the app RUNS, since it is in the task manager, but it won't appear.
I had the same problem until I set the following to true in the settings/appname-app.xml file (Application Descriptor File):
<!-- Whether the window is initially visible. Optional. Default false. -->
