1. Re: Mobile device flash design question: isn't it as 3 used for iphone?
Harry Kunz Mar 11, 2010 12:08 AM (in response to the_missing_link)As far as i know there is no support for AS3 yet in the latest FlashLite player Adobe Flash Lite 3.1. So that should mean you can't make it work.

the_missing_link Mar 11, 2010 12:23 AM (in response to Harry Kunz)Harry,
I take it you didn't attend the multi-touch platform class at adobe
conference 2009? I'm pretty sure the instructor was programming A.S 3.0. I
could be wrong but I doubt it. Flash has been having people submit apps for
the iphone and other phones so I'm really curious on how to use the
technology I saw at the conference in my project.

Harry Kunz Mar 11, 2010 1:29 AM (in response to the_missing_link)I can't find any webpages online that say AS3 is supported in FlashLite. Can you be kind enough to share any findings about support for it?

the_missing_link Mar 11, 2010 1:52 AM (in response to Harry Kunz)I apologize harry. I found a faq page on adobes site & it will be
running AIR 2 & won't support AS 1 or 2. It says that only certain
people are allowed to beta test the code in cs5 but if I can find my
notes I believe there's a way to do it in cs4.

the_missing_link Mar 11, 2010 11:53 AM (in response to Harry Kunz)Here is how you can get AIR 2 so you can start working on iphone apps (it is
still in beta) http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/air2/
and here is a video of flash apps on the iphone

Oh also some good news for all of us flash developers. Flash should be
coming to the Google android soon, which means we can reach a broader amount
of devices.
