Things go just fine with this download then I get a message that says: "Files in use. Some files that need to be updated are currently in use. The following applications are using files that need to be updated by this set-up. Close these applications and click Retry to continue." The applications are Internet Explorer and Windows Explorer. I have Vista Home Premium and use IE7. I'm not a computer expert so I don't know how I can close Explorer and access the Adobe website at the same time. Are they suggesting I "upgrade" to IE8? I tried that several months ago and it totally froze up my computer so I went back to IE7. Could I download Adobe Reader 9.3 if I used Firefox instead? Or would I still get the same message?
Download the offline installer
save it to disk, then close all browser windows (Internet Explorer) and run the downloaded installer.
