I have one project that was made in Premier Pro and I want to put it into another project made on the same computer with the same Preimier Pro. When I import it, the voice overs are not located on the time line. The project I am bring it to is for a dvd so is there a file format that works best to make the oriignal project into and then bring that into the main project? I tried an MPEG2 but that shows a "pending" in the files list and doesn;'t work in the timeline.
you should be able to bring in one project into another without any difficulty. My catch all first suggestion is to trash your prefs
Beyond that, try to give us a bit more information and we'll try to help.
For an SD Project, there is no better format/CODEC, than DV-AVI Type II w/ 48KHz 16-bit PCM/WAV. That is what PrPro is designed to edit.
PS - I have never seen Timelines shed Assets, when Imported into a new Project. That is odd indeed.
I wound up just making an AVI file and putting that in the other project. This clip was all done so I didn't need to edit it further.
Thanks for the suggestions!
(I love Premiere.....)
