I have Premiere Elements 3.0 installed on my computer and has always worked fine. It has been a month since I last used it and now when trying to open the program, an error message pops up prompting me to delete the program and I am unable to open. It reads like this [ The instruction at "0x09c310e3" referenced memory at "0x00000018". The memory could not be "read". Click on OK to terminate the program ] I tried removing the program and reinstalling but the problem remains. PLEASE HELP ME
In the "More Like This" column to the right, there are some tips on resolving this issue. The first would be double-checking tha you have the 3.0.2 update for PRE3 installed.
If you don't have it, you can get it here:
When one gets a memory address message, it is most likely that some program, or Process, has either not correctly reported the memory addresses used, has reported that they have released the memory, and have not, or might be malware.
That pop-up, that tells you to uninstall the program is particularly worrisome, and I have never heard of anything like that in any Adobe program over the last 24 years. I would boot in Safe Mode and run a very full AV scan with the latest virus definitions, and then do a full spysweeping scan. Something might be very wrong.
