I've been reading about how the RichText and RichEditableText spark components use the Text Layout Framework (TLF) library, which in turn builds on the new Flash Text Engine (FTE) in Flash Player 10.
But I don't see an attribute such as htmlText available on these components which means to me that if initially I want to feed some default html into them then it is my job as a user to convert the html into the right format using TLF. How would I do that? Is there a utility class?
For ex: How do I make <span> into <s:span> etc.
Ok figured it out: TextConverter.importToFlow(HTMLgoesHere, TextConverter.TEXT_FIELD_HTML_FORMAT)
