Why is this happening?P&S is not suitable for editing.
Does the premiere have a limitation for number for files to be imported? No.
Does it have problem with the video format?Yes.

Convert to MS DV AVI type2.
can you recomend app that can do this conversion?
I don't want to loss quality in the conversion, is it lossless?
The answer to that might well rest on the full specs. of those files. That is why the question was asked - to help us help you.
Use Google to find a suitable converter.
No, unless you opt for uncompressed. It will take some disk space.
I have NOT used those products, I only forward due to other mentions

OK, you have got MJPEG (Motion JPEG), so I would recommend either the Morgan, or the MainConcept MJPEG CODEC's. Either of those should allow you to edit you MJPEG footage natively in PrPro. Most users find the MainConcept the better of the two, but I believe that both have a trial. Not sure if the trial watermarks, or is just time limited. The Web sites should tell you.
So I DONT NEED ANY PREWORK CONVERSIONS, JUST INSTALL ONE OF THIS CODECS?
TODAY I HAVE FFDSHOW CODECS INSTALLED AND I CAN VIEW AND EDIT ANY OF THE FORMATS , BUT STILL GET THESE CRASHES. ARE THE RECOMENDED CODECS GOING TO DO BETTER WORK? WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE?
No reason to shout, or do you have a CAPS lock problem?
FFDShow is not a good idea to leave installed, but removing it may prove difficult. Worst case scenario, reformat your disk, do a fresh install of OS and programs. Best case, it uninstalls with only minor problems. If you made the fatal mistake to install K-Lite, I wish you luck with reinstalling everything from scratch.
Maybe Morgan or MainConcept will work, but best try that after cleaning up your mess.
Sorry for the CAPS Lock, I was writing from my mobile, and for some reason it was locked
so you do not recommend any of those codec package. How are you dealing with all video and audio formats, and subtitles? ffdshow does all for me.
dont' worry I dont have Klite installed
so you belive that if one of two codecs you recommened installed well and working it will solve my problem and work much better then FFDSHOW
I also have the option for converting the file to another format. under what name will I found a sutible format in the conversion software?
It is pretty simple. Some basis rules to adhere to:
1. NEVER install a codec pack.
2. If you need to installl a single codec, adhere to the trusted ones, like HuffYuv or Lagarith or Morgan or Mainconcept.
3. Never try to edit DivX, Xvid, or similar crappy delivery formats.
4. You don't need anything that is not installed with Adobe, unless you want trouble.
5. Refuse to even try to edit questionable material that is not accepted by Adobe by default.
6. If none of the above rules help, refer to me...
For CODEC "packs," I avoid those like the plague. I ONLY will install a CODEC, when I need it. Then, I will try to go to the source, even if I need to pay $ for it. Many of the "packs," and free versions of popular CODEC's are hacked, or reverse-engineered imitations. Some work, some mess up the system, and I can't waste time trying to fix things, if they do the latter.
I have to handle a lot of odd footage, and just buy, or acquire what I need, when I need it.
It worked !
I installed the Morgan Codec over the ffdshow pach (ffdshow pack is still installed and working) and the Premiere works good now.
I could keep working on my projects for hours and everything works fast without chrashes
The only issue is that this codec costs a lot - 20$ (for only one format)
thank you very much !
Great news! Glad that the Morgan MJPEG CODEC worked for you.
Personally, I have no issue paying even much more for a well-written CODEC, if it works with the footage. For me, that price is about equal to 10 mins. of consultation, or trying to find a solution that works.
I still feel that camera mfgr's. should build in the price of the CODEC(s) that they use, and supply them to the buyer, but that is a soapbox for another day.
