1. Re: Double Motion Tweening?
Ned Murphy Mar 17, 2010 6:57 PM (in response to KateMorgan)Take whatever you have created for the sliding trombone and plant it inside a movieclip (copy the frames, create a new movieclip symbol, paste the frames in it). Then take that movieclip and create another motion tween using it, moving it in whatever positions you want for the tween(s).

2. Re: Double Motion Tweening?
KateMorgan Mar 17, 2010 7:51 PM (in response to Ned Murphy)I just spent some time going over your instructions very carefully..quite a few times and end up with a clip that I can tween, since all the layers are made into a symbol but the slide that moves in and out doesn't slide anymore.
Here is what I did exactly..in case I missed something.
Shift and select the layers including the title area on the far left.
Right click and "copy frames"
Go to Insert then to New Symbol choose Movie Clip and name
Ctrl V to paste
-I then see all the pieces selected and everything is in a single layer now.
I then make a motion tween which converts this to a symbol
I can tween this but have lost the tween movement on the slide...that should move in and out and back again.
I must be missing some tiny little step.
I am pretty new at this and appreciate your help.

3. Re: Double Motion Tweening?
Ned Murphy Mar 17, 2010 7:58 PM (in response to KateMorgan)If you created a movieclip of the trombone sliding. it should exist in your library as that movieclip, with just the frames you copied into it. All you should need to do is take that movieclip and build a new tween in another timeline using it.
If you take that first sliding movieclip and place it on the main timeline in frame 1 (no other frames occupied), that movieclip should play the sliding animation if you run the file. So all you need to do is create a new tween starting with that in frame 1, rotating it slightly up and down for the motion.
