    No picture online?!

    MissRaspberryDream

I'm an absolute beginner and made a test page in Dreamweaver CS3 consisting of a colored background and a logo made in Photoshop, the logo I inserted as an image. In Safari preview it looks as it's supposed to, but when I upload the page to my website, the logo is missing - all I've got is a square with a question mark. First I saved the logo as psd, when that didn't work I saved it as a jpeg image, but the problem is still there. This is what the code for the image looks like :

      <div align="center"><img src="CozyinCPH%3Aimages/cosylogo.jpg" width="308" height="300" align="absmiddle" />

      </div>

As the part of the code " %3A " looked as a possible error to me I tried to substitute it with a " / " but that didn't help either.

Something is wrong but what is it? Does anyone have the answer, please?

      Best regards...

First did you define a site to begin with?

Site>New Site>Named it>browsed out to the folder in which all the sites elements will be kept?

Next what is CozyinCPH.......? a folder in the site folder?

Did you actually upload the image to the server as well as your page?

Did you use 'save for web' in Photoshop or did you just save the image as a jpg in Photoshop. If the later it will propably be saved as a CMYK image and possibly at 300dpi. You need to check the settings in Photoshop - Image>Mode and Image>Image Size. The image should be set to RGB.

If you provide a link to the page someone will be able to give you a difinitive answer to your problem

            Thanks for your reply osgood_

yes, I did define a site, CozyinCPH is a folder in the site folder, and I uploaded the image to the server as well as the page. I also tried uploading the entire site ( although there isn't much in it yet. ) The Photoshop image - the logo - is set to RGB. I just tried to save the logo in the "Save for web and devices" as html and images, but when I try to insert the logo in that version in Dreamweaver, it is not a possible choice - meaning I can see the name but I can't choose it.

The link to the page is www.cozyincopenhagen.com

Your logo is uploaded in the root of the site folder here:

              http://www.cozyincopenhagen.com/cosylogo.jpg

But the link in your page says it should be in a folder named CozyinCPH so upload that folder with the image inside of it. You must keep the same folder and file structure as in your site folder when uploading to the web.

                Thank you so much osgood_

it's working now - you've made my day!!!

Besides uploading the CozyinCPH image folder I changed the name of it as well from CozyinCPH/images to CozyinCPH.images and I changed the code of the index.html accordingly...apparently using the "/" sign in names is not a good idea.

                It works now....what a relief!

                Best regards!
