I have my website in DW on my local PC hard drive and I use Sync or Put or FileZilla to publish the site on my hosting server. All is well.
I would like to be able to display my site on my laptop when it is not connected to the Internet. DW is not on my laptop. I know it is possible to "publish" a site to disk instead of to the server, but I have searched and can't find out how to do it. Note that the site is very simple with no server-side applications, etc.
Thank you for any guidance here.
You don't need DW on your laptop to view the site. So long as you have a browser on the laptop you should just be able to click on the index.html page once you have copied your site folder to the laptop and it will open.
If it don't then try uploading the index file to your server and then downloading it to the site folder. It should just be a standard html file without the DW livery.
Thanks, Nancy and osgood!
I didn't realize it is that easy.
As always, your help, along with the other experts here, is much appreciated.
