It is stored wherever you put it.Where do you create the database file? Look at the reference parameter of the SQLConnection open() method. If it is a valid file, then you can trace the path to find your database. If it is null, then you will get an in-memory database, which is destroyed when your app exits.

Though here I would recommend to keep all your app specific things (i.e. the db file) in app's LocalStore File.applicationStorageDirectory. This would be pretty useful for making sure your app works cross-platform.
Sorry for the late response. Here is what code I am using...
exampleDBFile = File.applicationStorageDirectory.resolvePath( "GFX.db" );
pfff pointed me to the right direction. I find it strange the the OS X Spotlight doesn't located any .db files.
