I did take the time to browse the forum before I asked this question. There have been a few "Unknown Error" threads, but none that address my problems specifically.
I have Premiere Pro 1.5 (old, I know). I've been trying to convert a file to burn to DVD. I've seen it convert up to 92% of the file (though I don't stick around to watch everything), only to see when I come back "Unknown Error". I am doing this project using files from two hard drives, and there is at least 10GB left in each, and I've tried saving the file to both. Does anyone know what my problem is?
Wild guess: disk space. Unless you only use 40 GB or smaller disks.
Welcome to the forum.
When PrPro is editing, Rendering or Exporting, there are large working files created. The output files also require additional space. Same for the Windows Virtual Memory - Page File, if it is dynamically managed. As Harm says, you do not have enough room. Also, as HDD's get closer to being filled, their performance really drops, and permanent failure looms as a real probability. You need to first clean both HDD's out, and probably get a third one. Keep them clean.
