I recently installed Flex Builder 3 on a Windows 7 laptop and notice that the program runs really slow. It's starts up in a timely fashion but when inserting breakpoints or even copying and pasting code, it becomes pretty much unusable. When inserting breakpoints it often takes ~30 seconds to make one, and copying and pasting even small bits of code can take 5 seconds in a very small file. I'm wondering if this has to do with the fact that Flex Builder 3 isn't supported by Windows 7 or if there's some other gremlin at play. If anyone has experienced something like this before I'd be grateful for some advice.
The specs of the machine are:
Windows 7 32 bit
Core 2 Duo 2.53GHz
150 gb Hard Drive
Nvidia GeForce 9400M 256mb Driver Version - 195.62
Unfortunately, I have the same problem, and have not found a workaround =(
Flex Builder 3 hasn't been extensively tested on Windows 7 and isn't officially supported on that OS.
I'd suggest that you download Flash Builder 4 (which we released just this week) to resolve the problem - given that Flash Builder 4 was launched after Windows 7, we have tested against this configuration.
