hi there - I'm very new to this game and I am a bit confused... how does one keep previous builds archived in case of Irretrievable Mistakes? I tried simply saving different versions of my Projects using _1 _2 notation etc but immediately ran into a whole nest of scope and namespace type conflicts... it was only with great difficulty that I was able to salvage a working version of my project at all!
so I figured there was probably some kind of automatic build version archiving or some such (sorry I don't know the actual technical term for this) - but I can't seem to find anything in the documentation or online...
am I missing something? how does one keep previous (working) builds backed up while experimenting freely?
all advice is appreciated, as I said - I'm very new to the development game.
There's nothing specifically built into Flex. There are many different version control systems that you can use, though. I use SVN (http://subversion.apache.org/) at work, and I use GIT (http://git-scm.com/) when the choice is entirely up to me. GIT has the advantage of being able to use a combination of local and remote repositories.
Both of these have Eclipse plugins that can be used with Flex Builder. If neither of these is to your liking, you can find many more by searching for "version control".
