    Plain text vs HTML

      Hi there,

      when using html to format an auto e-mail that goed out to someone, what
      will be seen if the person has only a plain text reader and not formatted?

          It depends on how you send it. If you send it with a Content-type of
          multipart/mixed and send both a plain text version and an html version,
          users who can view html will see the html and users who can only view
          plain text will see plain text. If you just send it as text/html, the
          user who can only view plain text will see the source code of the page.

            I send my emails with both HTML and plain text. Those that can read HTML do
            so....
