My computer is old, so I'm forced to used AE7.01. I've already lost some of you, nuts.
For those who remain, hopefully you can help a very frustrated man right now as old computer still do work with the programs written for them. I animate in Flash 5 (love the simplicity and bare-bones aspect of it).
For a current project, I have to throw my work into a 3d world created in After Effect (7.01 update) and would like it to stay vector until the final render.
Unfortunately, I'm having the following issues (see images):
Any ideas on how to fix this to maintain vector support as AE7 is said to do?
It's been a LONG time since AE7, so maybe I'm remembering wrong, but I seem to recall that swf support in AE7 used Quicktime conversion. This means that the SWF file is rasterized on the way into AE, so any vector support would be lost.
Andrew recalls correctly. After Effects CS3 was the first version to import SWF files with vectors intact.
I suppose the next best solution is to render quicktime files at the max zoom level? Or upgrade computers...
