1. Re: Moving an entire selection in the timeline, keeping selection in tact?
SteveG(AudioMasters) Mar 20, 2010 4:16 AM (in response to Mark Branch)If you group a selection of clips, they are locked in relative time. So if you pick the group up and drag it somewhere else, all those relationships remain intact.
You make the selection by Ctrl-clicking on the clips you want to group, and then right-click and select the group option, or simply hit Ctrl-G. You also have the choice of locking the group in absolute place, or unlocking it and keeping the clips in relative place.

Mark Branch Mar 20, 2010 11:27 AM (in response to SteveG(AudioMasters))thanks again for the quick response Steve, I was actually making reference to the timeline selection itself. I know how to group and move clips around but was wondering if I could make a timeline selection and then drag or somehow move that selection up or down the timeline whilst keeping the length of the timeline selection the same. I'm pretty sure at this point it's not possible though I found a workaround involving markers.
