Controlling PPT animation timing in Captivate 4

I imported a PPT to Captivate.  I want to control the timing of the PPT animations, but each object just comes in quickly - one after another.  Is there a way to control this and have each object come in when I want it to?

Thanks,
Howie

Hello,

You can choose to have the PPT controlled by the user, instead of automatic playing. I'm mostly using advancing by clicking. What were your settings when importing the PPT-slides? And how was the PPT controlled: by clicks?

Ideally, I would like to have the animation occur without the user clicking to advance.  The PPT was designed with each element being clicked.  Do I have to edit a setting on the PPT within Captivate?

Hello,

Do not understand quite well: PPT is designed to advance on clicking, but you do not want this in the CP. Would you then try to achieve the ideal timing in CP? When converting PPT-slides to Captivate you have two options: either advance automatically but then you will have to time everything in PPT in an ideal schedule. The other option is 'advance on mouse click'. Each PPT-slide is converted to an animation for Captivate, so timing is not that easy.

PPT is designed to advance on clicking-

This is right only in limited cases there are several cases when automation via timing is important especially in a self study material
