Do you have a link to the web page you can share?
ite is at: http://web.njit.edu/~bs36/
image should be instead of the word "banner"
not sure how to reference it to the server though. I made it reference to my local machine location on Dreamwever, and it worked, when i moved the files to the server and it disappeared
The first thing you will want to do is to not use blank spaces in any file names for files you intend to place on the web. Also, based on what (I think) I see as the path for the images (<img src="../images/bs template.jpg" width="770" height="100" alt="banner" />), the file on the server is being looked for in a folder parallel to folder the html file is in, but the image actually appears to in a subfolder of the page's folder at src="images/bs template.jpg"
Your path to the image is incorrect.
Open up code view in dreamweaver, and replace:
<img src="../images/bs template.jpg" width="770" height="100" alt="banner" />
<img src="images/bs template.jpg" width="770" height="100" alt="banner" />
You seem to be going up one directory (with the ../) when you don't need to be.
When I go to http://web.njit.edu/~bs36/images/bs template.jpg I see your banner just fine.
You should probably rename the image to bs_template.jpg or something similar while you're there, spaces in file names are probably a bad idea.
lol, beat me by a few seconds it seems.
ok, so i relaced the code, but now DW shows no image when i do that, strangly it worked when i placed changed index.html on host server
It sounds like you have a different folder structure locally than you do on the server, and you may just need to make them agree.
