Can you point me to where you see SpriteAsset used?
I did find BitmapAsset used in the ChromeLibrary lib. This is not part of the core framework ...
To add to Marina's reply: BitmapAsset in ChromeLibrary is not in any way related to Flex's BitmapAsset class.
When I remove the flex.swc from the build path I get these errors:
1017: The definition of base class BitmapAsset was not found. D3-MediaPlayer-OSMF line 10 Flex Problem1017: The definition of base class SpriteAsset was not found. D3-MediaPlayer-OSMF line 10 Flex Problembut ... the app still compiles and runs fine. So I guess this must be a Flash Builder problem.Thanks.
flex.swc is a SWC (a badly named one IMO) that is produced and maintained by the Flex team. It doesn't include any dependencies on the Flex component set (framework.swc and spark.swc). It is part of the MXML compiler and is used to resolve Embed()s and a few other compiler options in to appropriate classes. It should not bring in UIComponent or anything like that.
Hope that helps,
