Attached is my computer system information.
I would like to be able to edit HD material but CS4 does not work properly.
Does anybody know which changes I have to make to my computer to be able to run CS4.
I'm so frustrated at the moment that I'm thinking of buying an Apple with IMovie.(any comments on this?)
But I like to work with Adobe so much an know the program very well by now.
So I prefer to upgrade my computer.
I'm a very enthusiastic editor, but have not much knowledge of computers, so please be
as clear and basic as possible in your answers.
Thanks a lot! Monique (Mevision)
Monique, a couple of quick observations.
What in the world do you have on that C: drive? You have almost 400 GB used on a 640 GB drive. You are now operating on the slowest portion of that drive. Archive to another drive most of that unnessary stuff.
Next test your system with my Adobe Premiere Pro Benchmark (PPBM4). With the results of this I can tell you how well your system is tuned. It measures CPU performance and disk performance. If you look at my Benchmark Results page you will see that your Q8400 family of processors is not the greatest processor for running Premiere.
Unfortunately you have Windows 7 32 bit. The 64 bit version allows 32 bit Premiere to spead out to more processes and take advantage of more RAM.
