Using keyboard only you can change the focus from one control to another & play around with them. Let me know if you were looking for something else.
Thanks rkewlani, but I am indeed looking for something else.
I am assessing whether AIR is a suitable replacement for CHM (HTML Help) files. In a CHM file I can navigate (with difficulty) using [F6], Tab, Enter and the arrow keys. But in a test AIR file I made using RoboHelp I can find only very limited navigation. I can press Tab until the focus arrives in the ToC, press Enter to see the topic, then Tab takes me into the topic where I can scroll, but I cannot activate any links. Can it be done?
What kind of links are you talking about here ? Are they hyperlinks which you want to open up in HTMLControl/browser ?
Yes. Our application is (similar to) plain software help.
To see an example of what I mean open MSPAINT (Start > All Programs > Accessories > Paint) and select Help > Help Topics in the menu.
Incidentally you can then read how to navigate without the mouse (Contents > Using the Help Viewer > Using Help viewer keyboard shortcuts).
Can I do this sort of thing in AIR?
