Hello, every body,
I am working on a white board project, at first I use NetGroup.post to report the mouse position to all other peer, but I found the order of the message posted is uncertain, it is difficult to track the mouse movement.
Is there any method for serializing the mouse position to other peer?
Direct Routing? Object Replication? or Stream.send?
If using the Stream.send, all peer must setup receive stream for all peer, that is heavy for 20~30 peers topology.
as you discovered, postings may not be received in the order they're sent.
for updating a mouse positoin, you can add a sequence number to your postings and discard any you receive with a sequence number less than the highest you've processed so far.
Thank you , Mike,
I have ever tried to do like you said, but, it worked although it make the arithmetic some complicated.
I want to know Is there any simple method. How about send and direct routing, they are received in order? or, how can I serialize the mouse movement to stream for receiving in order?
