I'm creating a filing cabinet style container that pulls out the selected child to make it visible, but I'm not extending ViewStack as it hides all children except the visible child, and I need the tops of each component to be visible. I've created the component which extends mx.containers.Canvas, but would love to be able to add the next/last/add/remove child buttons that become visible when a ViewStack is selected in design view to better facilitate adding children to the component. I can't find any metadata tags that would specify these controls to appear. Is there a way to do this?
Any help/thoughts appreciated, image attached for clarity on what exactly I meant by 'child buttons':
Anybody? As I said, the component's working great, perhaps I could have taken a leaf out of Accordion's book and made the headers separate so I could hide the children when they're 'in the cabinet' but my current project only requires a couple of 'files' so that's ok. It'd just be a lot easier if I could harness the full power of flex and manage my children better in Design View...
