    Div's always going under each other!

      Ok,

       

      I have a website, and in CSS i have it set as 800px large

       

      I have a div id set for 400px and then another for 300px, but one always goes under the other.  (See picture below for info)

      How do I fix this???  (So that the message saying hi is to the right of Ventus Designs div

          To get divs to sit side-by-side you have to use the css 'float' property.

           

          I assume you have a css stylesheet linked to the page? Add float: left; to the 'main'  and 'ad_side' css selectors in the stylesheet.

           

          #main1 {

          float: left;

          }

          #ad_side {

          float: left;

          }
