are there any components in your movie?
No, there are no components.
You're preload code needs to be inside your onEnterFrame block... Your current code is only going to execute once with an alpha value of 0 which definitely isn't what you want.
Ok that at least gets the movie moving through, but what it is not doing is having the KCMlda increase in brightness as the file loads. It is not there, then it appears at 100% before the file has fully loaded. I watched it in simulated download at 14.4K.
Think of it this way, the KCMlda is the preloader image that indicates the percentage downloaded by it's increase in brightness.
I think it needs a set interval statement in there. Can you help me with that?
The issue is the conditional statement....
if(KCMPercent = 100) should be if(KCMPercent == 100)
I missed that when I was looking at the code. If you do this, it will work exactly as you want. Sorry I missed that and caused you one more delay. :(
one suggestion here too, you may want to condense the math to a single statement to ensure that the terms end in equality, like:
KCMPercent = Math.round((this.getBytesLoaded() / this.getBytesTotal())*100);
Still not right. I think the mistake I made was that I have to make a separate movie for the frames 2 to end. Put the preloader in a separate movie, when the movie loads play the movie in an emptyclip.
I apologize for being so dim-witted, since my surgery 10 months ago when I was dead for seven minutes, my brain's been soft and squeezy. I'm physically fine, but the brain needs some more time before it aligns correctly.
oh you know what, I think i've got it. you're not killing the onEnterFrame event, and I wonder if the event was only looking at the load of the logo MC, try it like this:
OK, that's perfect.
So, I was right about starting the logo with an alpha of 0.
Now don't laugh, if I had named the KCMlda movie, I'm sure this would have worked before, but I like this code better.
sweet! you're welcome, glad it's working for you now :)
(I didn't laugh ... really ... ;)
