Is there a faster way to do this? I'm used to being able (in previous versions) to export a frame (TIFF, BITMAP, etc) and have it appear in the porject window for dragging to the timeline. But now, I have to go into import and find it among my many files and then import it manually (there used to be a checkbox where you could choose to add to project when finished). I'm using the lastest upgrade to Premiere Pro 4.

Short answer - NO - sorry (its a PIA we know)
The revisiting of that choice is one that many have filed Feature Requests for. I need it about half the time and would like a radio button to let me choose. CS4 broke the chain with the Export Still, with the addition of the stand-alone AME for everything. It was not until about CS4.2, that Adobe sorted things out - to a degree. Let's hope that they have listened, and will add that feature back in with a toggle, for when you want to do so.
Now, it's navigate to the location and Import. Not ideal, but it will get you there.
