    Pointing to a mobile page....

    skowhegan Level 1
      I made a mobile page.

      < http://www.msad54.org/district/mobile.shtml>
      I have added code in the heading of my home page to call up that mobile page when a hand held devise is used. But it does not seem to be working. What have I done wrong? This is the code I added.

      <link href=" http://www.msad54.org/district/mobile.shtml" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" media="handheld" />

      Thanks,
      Nancy

          Hi Nancy,
          The code you have there is for handheld CSS. It's not intended to redirect
          people with handhelds to your mobile site. It's supposed to call up a
          different style sheet for use with handheld devices.

          Simple solution: Why not place a text link on your web site to the mobile
          site? That way iPhone users will have access to it. In fact, you might
          want to place a link on your mobile site to the web site too - so iPhone
          users can have the best of both worlds.

            i would really like to learn how to do this correctly. I have changed the code to this thinking it links to the css that the mobile page is using. Am I anywhere closer?

            <link href="SpryAssets/SpryMenuBarVertical.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" media="handheld" />
