I've got a bit of a tricky problem and hope that you can help me:
One of our customers has several shared printers, the names are identical except the addition of (black) and (color) at the end.
Now, when I open up Adobe Reader and want to choose the desired printer, the names are not fully shown (below):
As you can see, that's not very convenient - is there any solution other than renaming the printers? (a horizontal scrollbar, like there is one in other products maybe?) Thanks in Advance for any help!
Since that window size and the internal parts are set by microsoft, and it doesn't appear to be a dynamic (expandable) window, the best solution would be to re name the printers with shorter, easily distinguishable names.
If you hold the cursor over the printer name for a second or two, it should pop up a 'balloon' with the full name/path, but that's pretty inconvenient when you're in a hurry to print a document.
thanks for the reply! The popup/balloontipp would be a pleasant enough solution - unfortunately, I don't get said balloontipp when I hover my mousepointer over the printername :-( At least not in WinXP, that is.
