What operating system are you on? Are you trying to update and AIR app or the runtime itself? What is the version of AIR youu are on?
Can you provide the .airinstall.log and .airappinstall.log files (see http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/403/kb403123.html to enable logging to these files)
Sundeep, I'm getting the same message.
I'm on OS 10.5.8
I've downloaded the Adobe AIR Installer, but the installer always indicates that it will update Adobe AIR
A spotlight search for these two log files produces nothing.
I also followed your instructions here:
- Double-click the Terminal application located at /Applications/Utilities/Terminal.
- Type cd /Users/userName.
- Type echo > .airinstall.log and/or echo > .airappinstall.log "
But terminal replies with "No such file or directory"
Is this error message coming when you try to install a paticular app? The AIR file might be damaged, try installing some other app like Tweetdeck and let me know what you get.
Also its strange that you are getting that message from terminal. Try executing the following commands, instead, from terminal:
1. touch ~/.airappinstall.log
2. touch ~/.airinstall.log
3. touch ~/.airupdate.log
Then install the air app again, and share the contents of these log files.
Actually I am trying to install the Tweetdeck app and it just seems to hang in limbo; an indefinate message displays that it's installing. I've typed in
your scripts below and I'm still not finding them with a spotlight search.
