    Dropdown quirk

I've noticed that when I create a dynamically populated dropdown menu that the last item in the list is always the one that is displayed. Why is this? How can it be changed? In Dreamweaver CS3 I've tried to add a "Choose an Item" item to the menu but it doesn't allow me to have it as the displayed item.

      Thanks

If you look at the code, you will probably see that ALL of the elements will
have "selected='selected'" added to them, as I recall. Just adjust the
markup within the looper to only add that when the recordset value is equal
          to the list value.
