I'm on a Mac Pro running Snow Leopard. Every time after quitting After Effects (CS4) one instance of aeselflink is still open, and it uses up to 45% of one of my CPUs. Sometimes it even causes a little system instability. I have to manually quit the process in Activity Monitor. Is this normal? Is there anyway to force all of the aeselflink instances to quit when After Effects quits?

They should, but apaprently this one loses the connection to the main program. What MP settings are you using?
Well, I just updated to 9.0.2 and when I quit AE that last aeselflink was not there. So I think maybe that fixed it.
