Most likely you've either not uploaded the image or your paths to the
images in the HTML doesn't match the paths on the server (they are
wrong). If you have a URL example, it would assist in determining where
the issue resides.

You need to upload images the same way you upload your html files. But looking at the source, it appears that your image paths are pointing to your local file system. This usually indicates that you did not define your site correctly, or that your images exist outside of your defined site directory structure. Is this the case?

i have tried to fix the problem by moving the pictures to the root folder.
I couldn't find it, but after following the instructions on dreamweaver help, i created a folder and put the images there. The website is still shopwing the same problem. is there anything ellse that i can do?

This folder is within your site structure? Did you relink the images to the page?
no. I went to users/ my user name/sites folder. I have created a folded called mysampleapps. The help menu said that apache should porcess any page in response to an http request to a web browser.
