I'm  hoping to use Flash Catalyst to be able to build out some simple slideshows where I can build my slideshows in the following way(s):

I'd like to have each slide/page-state be it's own slide, where graphical elements are displayed and an audio file plays in the background as narration.

I'd like to be able to play a video (ideally, alpha channel supported) on some slides too. Only need one video per slide.

I'd like to be able to provide user navigation (next button/back button/pause, etc.)

I'm good with the buttons/navigation, but does anyone know how/if the audio and video would even work?

What you are describing should be doable in Catalyst.

One thing to be aware of is that there is a limit of 20 pages, so you can't put your entire photo collection into a Catalyst project this way.

Making enormous media viewers requires a different approach, with some coding in Flash Builder to dynamically load the desired media from a server (or you local machine).
