You can put everything in one timeline but one or the formats needs the fields reversed. This can be done in the Field Options.
I've been experimenting with that...does this result in quality loss?
changed the sony nx5e mpeg video to lower field first while editing....when mpegged it produces jerky movement from dvd player on tv...will try some other ways as examples
left both cameras original footage as is (upper & lower field dominance) and edited with lower field dominance DV settings, rendering the mpeg on the timeline..disappointed with the nx5 as the auto white balance is totally diffferent form the Z1, noticeably orangey.
Z1 produces the sharper pictures...especially in standard definition. seems to be to do with changing the field dominance to match the Z1 footage.
Previously focused objects now look out of focus....
