    This should be straightforward..

      but I am completely mystified as to why I cant get this button to control a movie clip (all my other buttons, doing similar actions are working fine). I have been trying to work it out for more than 2 hours. Any help would be VERY appreciated!

      This is my code (the final button in the list, and its function), and Im getting no errors:

      //function for choosing the animation option for midi studio 1

      function studioAnim(event:MouseEvent):void

      {

      studioSetupAnim.play();

      }

      //register buttons

      ControlPanel.ControlPanelAnim.BtnControlPanel.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, openPanel);

      OpeningDialogue.InsideOpeningDialogue.BtnOpeningDialogue.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK , closeBox);

      ControlPanel.ControlPanelAnim.BtnStudioSetup.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, studioSetup);

      studioSetupAnim.PopUpBox.BtnStudioAnim.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, studioAnim);

      Yet the studioSetupAnim movieclip will not play!

      Has anyone got any ideas? I could email the flash file.

      Many thanks,

      Nic
