I'm using AutoCAD 2010 and I need to post some drawings on my company server. To do this I convert from dwg. to .pdf and save the pdf.s in the appropriate folder. To prevent others from just turning on and off layers to hide information I wanted to lock the layers but I can't seem to do this. I can hide/show, but the lock feature is not available to me.
Does anyone know what I need to do to fix this? I think my access is too low but I'm still not sure.
Thank you for all your help.
You CAN turn layers on and off in Reader. View>navigation panels>Layers although I'm not so sure how to turn them off but I don't think it's possible.
Have you tried flattening the file before sending it?
