    Swap Image - only images?

    QuimbyDog Level 1
      Hi all

      I have some pages that have one large pic with a few thumbnails below. They way I have it set up now is when the user clicks on the thubnail, the large pic loads that picture in large format and I use swap image to get that done. Now I have a flash movie that is the same size as the large pic area and would like to have the movie start up in that space when the user clicks the thumbnail. Swap Image does not allow me to use a .swf file to load in the large pic space. Any other ideas on how to do this?

      Here is the page if you want to see what I am talking about:

      Click here

      Thanks

          Flash always rises to the top, but there is some hocus pocus you can
          do to prevent that, although I don't know if it's 100% reliable. I bet
          someone in the Flash group knows.

          Nice site.

            The swap image behavior just changes the "src" attribute of the img tag.
            You'd have to replace the image tag entirely with the appropriate object tag
            instead to do this. The swap image behavior can't do this, but you can. :)

              Oh boy - you mean code it? Eeek. Care to give me an example - I am a lousy coder (that's why I like DW)

                This works, but it's absolutely positioned as I couldn't think how to
                replace the image code in a swap with the Flash object. You need to
                replace the image and Flash with your content and you could go to
                projectseven.com and get the SnapLayers extension to position it
                relative to an image.

                <div id="Layer1" style="position:absolute; left:62px; top:20px;
                width:380px; height:110px; z-index:2; visibility: visible;"><a
                href="#"><img src="logo.jpg" name="mypic" width="380" height="110"
                border="0" id="mypic"
                onMouseOver="MM_showHideLayers('Layer1','','hide','Layer2','','show')"></a></div>
                <div id="Layer2" style="position:absolute; left:62px; top:20px;
                width:380px; height:110px; z-index:1; visibility: hidden;"
                onMouseOut="MM_showHideLayers('Layer1','','show','Layer2','','hide')">

                  Or use a relatively positioned container for the whole page to keep it all
                  together.
