I am using Server Side Includes in a template in Dreamweaver. Dreamweaver is inserting a little yellow tab above the include file in the right column pictured below, forcing my elements not to align properly. It does not insert this tab in the left-most column.
When I select the yellow tab to delete, the entire include file is selected. What does this yellow tab indicate? How can I get rid of it?
I am using Dreamweaver CS3 on a Mac running OSX 10.4.11.
This 'little yellow tab' is indicating that ssi's/hidden code is inserted on the page.
You can set dreamweaver to not show this in your preferences - invisible elements - server mark-up items.
I prefer having my "invisible items" display.
It can be frustrating for a visitor to click on a link and end up on the wrong end of a page because an anchor wasn't set right.
As long as the page looks ok in the browser, I've learned to live with a quarter inch off in edting view.
