1. Re: Miss match in PDF version 7 & 8
Bill@VT Apr 7, 2010 2:21 AM (in response to Sudh@k@r)It is strange, but likely a font embedding issue. Use ctrl-D to check the fonts and see if they are embedded. If not, then embed them. Assuming that AA7 and AA8 are on different machines, it may be that one has the fonts installed and the other does not.

Bill@VT Apr 7, 2010 6:31 AM (in response to Sudh@k@r)The embedding question is answered. Is there a chance that you are seeing a graphic and not a font. In that case there is an outside chance that selecting "show large images" under page display will solve the problem. I really doubt it, but it is worth a shot. If you can post an example some place, maybe we can look at the basic PDF itself. Bill

MichaelKazlow May 11, 2011 1:24 PM (in response to Sudh@k@r)Looking at the pdf file, it appears that the parenthesis is a graphic and not a character. You might try to see if the left parenthesis appears or disappears at different zooms. That sometimes happens and there is nothing to be done for it. The other possibility is that the problem is due to the font itself. While everyone always suggests using font subsets, you might try to see if the problem disappears if you embed the entire font. You might see what happens if you don't embed the font at all. What font is being used for the parenthesis? What program is being used to create the formula?

Sudh@k@r May 19, 2011 3:49 AM (in response to MichaelKazlow)Hello MichaelKazlow,
When we set the same zoom size of AA7 & AA8 the parenthesis is not appearing in AA7. I have tried to print throught AA7 the parenthesis is missing in the print out. Also we have checked the Fonts are subsetted. If we don't embed the font the same thing is happening. We used the 3B2 for Pagination. Texcm font is used for the Parenthesis and we used Math type for creating the formula.
Thanks for looking into this.

Sudhakar
