    Save - then Stalls

I have had this problem throughout several Mac os updates and Director updates. I believe it started with Director 8. When I save a large file - it saves immediately - but then it goes into a spin. I have Director 11.5 and Mac 10.6.2

      Anyone else have this problem?

I have tried deleting preference folder.

I do have Firefox running - but I have Safari on my machine.

      Any help would be appreciated.

I'm not sure of how to do the MAC equivolent of this but in the past I have got around these sorts of issues by setting the program priority to 'High', or even 'Real-time' through Windows Task Manager.  I'm sure there must be a way of doing that on a MAC.  If that doesn't solve your problem you might need more RAM.  If your files are big your RAM might be maxed out with not enough buffer space to hold temporary files when saving your file.
