Don't Purchase CFBuilder if you use SourceGear Vault.
There is an issue between SourceGear Vault Eclipse plug-in and ColdFusion Builder 1.0 that causes the Vault to attempt to check out files every time a function is selected from CFML shortcut tool bar. For example if we have a file checked out already and depress the shortcut button for cfabort (the man going out the door) the file is forced to be checked out again. This was not an issue in the beta version of ColdFusion Builder or in any other Eclipse application. Occurs in both the plug-in and standalone version CF Builder 1.0. We have contacted Adobe and they said it is not a priority.

Could you provide additional details on why you feel this is a ColdFusion Builder bug and not a SourceGear Vault bug?

It is related directly to CF Builder for three reasons:
1. Throughout the Beta process it worked flawlessly, thus the reason we decided to purchase the full release. Something changed between the full release and the last release of Adobe’s beta.
2. No other plugin used in conjunction with vault experiences this behavior. We use eclipse for everything Java, XML CSS. All the tools work well with Vault as our source control plugin.
3. Adobe refuses to even consider this an issue.
Whatever, we are returning our licenses and going back to using cfeclipse http://www.cfeclipse.org/download.cfm

Hi. I'm Adam. The Product Manager for ColdFusion Builder. I'm trying to consider it, but you haven't given me any technical information to look into.
Unfortunately, it's impossible for us to certify and test every 3rd party plug-in w/ ColdFusion Builder. Here is a list of every plug-in we did test and confirm that it works w/ CB.
CVS Plugin
Subclipse
Eclipse JDT
Mylyn
Subversive
Perforce plugins
Eclipse WST
Mxunit
Good luck w/ CFEclipse.

We showed the issue to the support team over breeze see case #181516803. They identified it was an issue but will not support. What else can we do but switch IDE's? It is not pratical to ditch our source control with years of data over an IDE.

This issue was fixed and included in the free ColdFusion Builder Update 1. From inside ColdFusion Builder just select Help --> Adobe ColdFusion Builder Updates.
For information about the update can be found at:
