I use Fireworks CS4 for prototyping software applications. These prototypes serve as an internal contract between the product design team and other teams, such as software development and quality assurance. It's very important that the exported PDF that I provide these teams be crisp and scalable, but the default PDF export settings unfortunately result in fuzzy, pixelated PDFs. I've experimented with various canvas sizes and resolutions and have yet to find a satisfactory setting.
The Common Library, the ability to add/create new symbols and the various alignment really helps with prototyping, which is why I'm trying to switch from Visio. But all of these tools are essentially useless if I can't export a crisp PDF.
I've tried both the Export and Print as PDF options with no luck. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
I don't use this feature but you can try changing your canvas setting to 300 rather than 72. Also check the settings in the Optimize panel. If using any slice use a higher optimization, if not still use ahigher setting such as jpg 100%, which will apply to all.
Hope this helps
