    From RoboHelp to DreamWeaver

    TechWriter4
      Hello,

I'm a technical writer new to Dreamweaver looking for any tips, procedural assistance, or advice from anyone experienced in moving WebHelp content from RoboHelp into Dreamweaver. Also, I'm interested in hearing feedback from anyone who uses Dreamweaver as their primary Help authoring tool.

If you don't need to single-source your help files, then DW is fine, except
there's no built in way to compile your HTML into a windows help file
          format.

If you need single source help files, then that's really what RoboDemo was
          designed for.

May I ask why you're moving from RH to DW?

I do not consider DW to be an efficient Help Authoring Tool.

It will only produce HTML. You'll lose the ability to output to other
formats such as PDF, CHM etc.
