I have profiled a action script project in Flash Builder 4. Now I have found out that 99.6% of the memory consumption is caused by method
execute-queued and main callee instance is BitmapData. What does this mean? Does anybody know where to find more info about this?
Make sure you have turned off all filters. But it sounds like you have lots
of bitmaps in your application or have turned on cacheAsBitmap.
I have a 600+ class actionscript project and relatively small number of bitmaps. But there are some large ones indeed (wallpaper kind of images). I have switched cachedAsBitmap off and have made some improvements concerning process the bitmaps and now it is much better. Thanks for the info!
