I have tried everything I can and the icon just won't work.  If my understanding is correct all that is needed is to save a favicon.ico or.png to your root folder and then add some code (<link rel="shortcut icon" href="/favicon.ico" >) and it should show up in the browsers.

Can anyone lend me some assistance?

www.weddingsandmore.us is the url I am trying to add the favicon too.

          Hi Dre,

          it's ok, some people prefer:

          <link rel="icon" href="pictures/favicon.ico" type="image/x-icon" />.

If you will not see your favicon immediately, has proven useful:

If you have bookmarked the site in your IE, re-create the bookmark (= delete the bookmark).
Or simply check with another browser, the new icon will be there.
          Clear ALL your caches!

          - Quit browser
          - Empty the Temp Internet Files Internet Options
          - Clear History
          - Delete everything in general, where the browser remembers visited sites.
          - Restart
          - Clear Site visit
          - Clear Bookmark

Here: http://www.weddingsandmore.us/weddingstationary.html a slideshow would be nice.

your link indicates to a "FREE WEB HOSTING SERVICE", I don't have an access to any of these websides.

... and Dre, didn't we talk about your: http://www.weddingsandmore.us/weddingstationary.html?

There I couldn't find your quoted line named:

              <link rel="shortcut icon" href="/favicon.ico" > or what I'am using:

              <link rel="icon" href=".../pictures/favicon.ico" type="image/x-icon" />.

One of them you  (and you my friend from Host1Free) should insert after <body>.

In general: Please have a look again to my recommendations on top of this thread.
