Locked up at 80% burning a DVD

    Drury749

I am burning a DVD using elements 8 and it has locked up at 80% completion. I cleared all the gaps in my video prior to starting the burn. Video is made up of stills and video clips.

      Thanks for your input.

Have you resized all of the photos to no larger than 1000x750 pixels, per the FAQs to the right of this forum?

Also, is your video from a miniDV camcorder, captured over FireWire? If not, what kind of camcorder did your video come from?

Finally, are you able burn your DVD files to a folder on your hard drive rather than directly to a disc?

More details are in the FAQs to the right of this forum.

Along with the answers to Steve's questions:

1.) What is the Duration of your Timeline?

2.) How much defragmented free space is on your HDD?

3.) How are your HDD's formatted, NTSF or FAT-32?

4.) What is on the Timeline at about the 30% point? [PrE uses a 2-Pass Transcode, so @ 50%, the first-pass has completed and at 80%, the second-pass is underway, trying to get the best quality possible to fit the blank DVD disc.]

            Good luck,
