txbonfire Apr 19, 2010 1:53 PM (in response to mind113)Thank you for this link. I also received some advice which stated that I may need to run my Premerie Pro 2.0 and related program with Windows XP Mode. This looks like I would have to install Windows XP Mode and Windoes Virtual PC.
What is the difference between the Windows XP Mode/Windows Virtual PC solution versus the solution outlined in the link you provided (merely changing the compatibility mode in the properties of the start-up file)?
Thanks so much,
Angela

Just right click on the .EXE file, select properties, Compatibility tab and set it to Win XP SP2 mode.

txbonfire Apr 19, 2010 2:08 PM (in response to Harm Millaard)Harm,
Is it really that easy? So, there is no need to download Windows XP Mode and Windows Virtual PC (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual-pc/default.aspx)?
Of course I would prefer to upgrade to at least Adobe CS4 Production Premium, but the best price I could find was $400 on studica.com. Or I could upgrade my Adobe Production Studio Premium to CS5 Production Premium for $800. But, these are not options for me right at this moment.
Thanks so much,
Angela

Harm Millaard Apr 19, 2010 2:17 PM (in response to txbonfire)Yes. On Win7 64 Pro. I'm not sure about Home versions, but I guess it is the same.

txbonfire Apr 19, 2010 2:31 PM (in response to Harm Millaard)With the HP I just purchased, I will be upgrading to the Windows 7 64-bit
Professional. So hopefully, getting my 2.0 Adobe software to run on the new
computer will not be as stressful as I thought.
Thanks so much!
Angela
