Exporting to FLV, 6min clip, 1.5hr export, ??too long??

Apple MacBook Pro x64, Snow Leopard

      2.53 Intel Core 2 Duo

      4GB 1067MHz DDR3 Ram

      NVIDIA GeForce 9400M 256MB

      Premiere Pro 4.2.1 CS4

      Adobe Media Encoder

I'm exporting 5 sequences from Premiere Pro, {6min,7,10,10,21}. Source video is 960x600 .mov. Sequence is the same dimension.

      Export Settings:

      On2 VP6Mono
      960x600, 30fps128kbps
      VBR 1pass, 1500kbps
      Quality: Good

I started the batch between noon and 1pm, didnt finish til after 9pm. I cant lower the quality or size too much, it was a screen cap of a 1690x1050 monitor with text at about 12-16pt. It's a demonstrative video, and needs to be of good quality. I want to set the quality to "best" but that'd probably double the time.

Not only did it take forever, but the quality was lost by extreme amounts: before: http://i40.tinypic.com/20hvdya.png   after: http://i40.tinypic.com/ffcsb9.png

To be used in a DVD hosted flash video tutorial file. (maybe web)

Why is it taking so long and what can I do to make it go faster?
