First off let me say i know nothing about flash. So I'm re-working a web site for a client and he wants to include an existing shockwave file he has but it doesn't match the page as the original creator of the file saw fit to include some of the previous site elements into it. I've had somebody who claims to be a flash expert look at the file(s) and he says the elements cannot be removed or altered.
So my question is this, is there a way to position an image over a portion of a flash/shockwave in html/dhtml/css to mask a portion of it that anyone is aware of? I've tried using a style with absolute or relative positioning specifying "top" and it does not show.
your previous advice was inaccurate. everything can be removed.
if you only have a swf, you'll need to decompile to get the fla and the remove whatever you like.
